Summer scheduling: We need to make sure that your schedule can be reasonably harmonized with the Summer Intensive classes. Do you expect to be absent for any period during the 11-week intensive class period? Please list dates and duration if you know them. Keep in mind the summer Intensive is expected to last until July 29th. Missing a week does not disqualify you as long as you keep up your reading and assignments.

Have you ever attended Bible school or participated in a discipleship program in the past? If so where and when?

If you work, how many hours do you expect to work each week during the intensive course?

Studious Nature

Please answer these questions honestly. For instance, if you are a fairly new Christian it is unlikely that you have read much of the Bible. We understand that. Just give us a sense of how you are progressing. This will help us in how we posture the classes.

How much of your Bible have you read so far? Which sections? Please list them here:

Have you ever done a Bible “study” on your own? It could be on a topic, or a word, or historical context etc. If so, can you give an example of an area that you really wanted to dig in more and understand better and so initiated a study on your own?

Do you ever take notes in church during teachings, sermons, or studies? Do you actually have a notebook that you use regularly to journal these notes?

Can you give examples of some books (or a book, does not have to be Christian) that you have read over the last year or so? (Do not include school assigned reading) Can you remember the titles and author? Did you finish the book?

Have you been baptized in water by immersion since you committed (or recommitted) to Christ?

Do you expect to truly follow through with the Intensive Course for the entire 11 week period?

Can you think of a time that you showed leadership initiative? Can you explain the occasion?

Do you aspire to speak publically or teach the Bible some day? Can you explain?

Communication

Public Speaking

Would you like to be considered for public speaking assignments? This could include announcements, your testimony and short inspirational messages.

Do you consider yourself to be someone that gets easily offended?

Church Affiliation

It is expected of Intensive students that they consider The Net as their primary Christian community and as their home church. Do you consider The Net to be your home church?

Do you attend consistently on Sunday and on Thursday?

If you don't currently attend The Net on Sunday and Thursday night consistently can you explain your current situation?

Transportation

Do you own a vehicle or have available transportation?

Would you have any problem getting to the classes each week?

Theology, Beliefs, and Worldview

Do you believe that once you are saved you are always saved?

Do you believe in or support gay “marriage”?

Do you believe that sex outside of marriage is always wrong?

Do you believe in giving God the tithe (the tenth) of your income?

Do you believe in the central role of the local church? In other words do you believe in being committed to a primary church home?

Do you consider yourself a liberal or a conservative (in a cultural/political sense)?

Do you believe in Darwinism (Darwinian Evolution)?

Do you lean more toward Calvinism or Arminianism? (If you don’t know that’s ok)

Do you believe in absolute (unchangeable) truth or do you believe it is all a matter of perspective?

Do you believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God?

Do you tend to identify with a particular denomination? If so which one?

Do you believe that Jesus Christ is God who came to earth as a human being?

Do you believe in that speaking in tongues is a gift for today? Have you ever spoken in tongues? (not a qualifier)
